Ap Chau and Kat O are popular attractions of the Hong Kong UNESCO Global Geopark. Led by local walking tour experts from Walk in Hong Kong, participants will take ferry to these stunning islands from Sha Tau Kok, discovering the fishing culture and history, as well as geological features of the islands, renowned for their ochre-colored rock formations and breathtaking hilltop view.
Note
- - The guided tour is conducted in Cantonese supplemented with English and Putonghua.
- - Shuttle bus services will be provided for participants travelling between Fanling and Sha Tau Kok.
- - Ferry services will be arranged travelling between Sha Tau Kok Pier and Lai Chi Wo.
Application for Tourism Closed Area Permits
Participants need to obtain a valid Tourism Closed Area Permit before going to Sha Tau Kok to participate in this guided tour. The Tourism Closed Area Permits can be applied for through the Hong Kong Police Force “Online Applications Platform”. It takes three working days to process. Please login the platform to download the electronic permit upon approval and present it on the day of activity to police officers.
