Lai Chi Wo is one of the largest and best-preserved Hakka walled villages in Hong Kong, with a history of over 300 years. Participants of this tour will take ferry from Sha Tau Kok and wander through the Lai Chi Wo Village. Local walking tour experts from Walk in Hong Kong will also explore the walled village structure and the lifestyle of Hakka villagers, uncovering the root and stories of Hakka culture with participants.

- - The guided tour is conducted in Cantonese supplemented with English and Putonghua.
- - Shuttle bus services will be provided for participants travelling between Fanling and Sha Tau Kok.
- - Registration will begin at 10am on 12 December 2024 (Thu).
Application for Tourism Closed Area Permits
Participants need to obtain a valid Tourism Closed Area Permit before going to Sha Tau Kok to participate in this guided tour. The Tourism Closed Area Permits can be applied for through the Hong Kong Police Force “Online Applications Platform”. It takes three working days to process. Please login the platform to download the electronic permit upon approval and present it on the day of activity to police officers.
