Flowing Natural

Kiki Ji
Inspired by wind, water, and butterflies, the artist's "Flowing Natural" merges traditional bamboo craftsmanship with contemporary design, featuring fluid lines that blend seamlessly into Shing Mun Country Park's landscape.
Shing Mun Country Park is one of the earliest country parks established in Hong Kong, boasting lush trees, mountains and waters. It is also a popular butterfly-watching spot. Inspired by the graceful flow of wind and water, as well as the fluttering of butterflies, renowned Mainland artist Kiki Ji, created the “Flowing Natural”, an installation that uses traditional bamboo artistry fused with a modern take. The artwork embodies fluid lines and movements, blending seamlessly into the park’s landscape. It beautifully represents a harmonious fusion of traditional craftsmanship and the innate beauty of nature within the park.

Visitors can stroll along winding paths, surrounded by the soothing sounds of nature, engaging with the landscapes that inspire Kiki’s work. The park’s unique ecosystem showcases the intricate relationships between the flora and fauna that thrive within it, exemplifying the beauty of nature’s simplicity. Shing Mun Country Park offers an inviting space for leisurely strolls, fostering a deeper appreciation for the natural world and the artistry that reflects it.
